Who We ArE

The Grizzles

We are the Grizzles, Bryson, Anna, Rowen Asher and Julien Levi. We are currently based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where our focus is on establishing house churches. Our mission is to empower local residents to reach out to their own communities. We believe that this approach embodies the kind of discipleship that Christ envisioned in The Great Commission. Our strategy involves creating a network of interconnected house churches that will in turn give rise to new house churches. We are convinced that this model has the potential to spark a spiritual revival in regions such as Somalia, South Sudan, Chad, Western Sahara, and other places where the spread of the Gospel has been restricted. Our commitment to missions is unwavering, and we are deeply passionate about the calling we have received from God. This is not a passing phase or a temporary endeavor for us; rather, it is the lifelong path we have chosen to follow. We have witnessed firsthand the urgent need for our work, and as a family, we have resolved to dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to this cause. Our guiding principle is encapsulated in a saying I coined a few years ago: "You can't get lost chasing Jesus."

Currently, there are more than three billion people around the globe who have never been introduced to the name of Jesus. The magnitude of this reality drives me to take action. When I was 10 years old, I received a message from God affirming, "You will reach the nations." At 17, I made the decision to embrace this calling. My wife and I attended Holmes Bible College, where we engaged in short-term missions and pursued various forms of training to prepare ourselves for the path ahead. Despite our youth, we have journeyed together to numerous destinations worldwide. We have volunteered at an orphanage in Mexico, conducted evangelism efforts on the Island of Abaco and the streets of Costa Rica. At just 6 months old, our child Rowen accompanied us as we relocated to the Kibera slum in Kenya, initiating discipleship groups with the local community and aiding trafficked children. The day after Julien was born, we organized a conference for young individuals who feel compelled to pursue missionary work, and even then, our children, Rowen and Julien, were by our side. When I express that we are consumed by God's call, I say it with utmost sincerity.

The task of fulfilling The Great Commission may appear daunting, but long ago, I resolved that if my plans do not require faith, they likely are not aligned with God's plans. I am fully aware that we cannot accomplish this mission alone. This is why we have been entrusted with a vision to lead a movement in this generation, inspiring others to embrace the call to missions. We have taken the initial steps by launching an annual conference aimed at answering the question, "How do I get started in missions?" Our inaugural event drew over 125 young participants. Additionally, we are developing plans to establish a summer camp for teens focused on missionary training, as well as a missionary training school for young adults. We firmly believe in the necessity of preparing and equipping individuals to effectively carry the light of Jesus Christ into the darkest corners of the world.

By training 64 young adults for missions annually, we can potentially have a missionary present in every country in the world within just three years! Our calling is not merely a passing notion; rather, it is a deeply ingrained conviction that God has inscribed upon our hearts. We are unwavering in our resolve to persist until every nation has been reached, until the reality of God's existence and the name of Jesus are known throughout the world, and until unreached people groups become a thing of the past. Sixteen years ago, God conveyed to me a clear message, not of possibility but of certainty: "You WILL reach the Nations." I wholeheartedly believe in His proclamation.

The Whitts

We want you to come on this journey with us, first to say hi from the Whitt Family Brandon, Natasha, Arianna, Evalina (Evy) , and James (Jamesy).

I want to take you to the beginning to help understand the why. Over my life God has been preparing our family to be able to have the faith to take this giant leap that God has led us to. The leap of selling our home and moving to a 3rd world country to find, rescue and share the love of Christ with orphans. The first steps of this journey started with the very first mission trip I went on at 18. I went to an orphanage in Romania and it was there that the call to missions was birthed.  Fast forward through a lot of years of addiction and then praise God I found redemption. I then went on my 2nd and 3rd mission trips to Mexico to an amazing orphanage and the fire was rekindled. It was the feeling of finding a missing piece of my life I knew I could no longer live without. Finally, I made my way to Africa. It was there that the deal was officially sealed. God gave us a calling we have decided to dedicate our lives to. To go full time into orphan care on the mission field.

Not only through missions but, even in our time at home, God has been preparing and equipping us for the journey ahead. For the last four years God has placed us as Children’s Pastors in our local church. We had no idea what God was up to when we accepted the position, but looking back, we can’t help but see how perfect His plan is. His voice and His path have been so clear that we have no doubt we are being called to the front lines of Africa to fight the orphan and child sex trafficking epidemic.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Right now there’s over 140 million orphans in the world with South Africa being one of the top countries.  We ask that you join us in the fight Until Every Child Knows The Love Of Christ!”
